Ydinkohdat is a Finnish term formed from ydin (core, nucleus) and kohdat (points, locations). It is not a fixed technical term in Finnish dictionaries, and its exact meaning depends on context. Generally, ydinkohdat refers to the central or most important aspects of a topic—the core points that define an issue or argument.

In academic or professional writing, ydinkohdat may be used to denote the central themes, findings, or objectives of a discussion. For example, a planner might identify the ydinkohdat of a project to focus resources, while a reviewer could present the ydinkohdat of a text as its principal insights.
