Yavari
Yavari is a historic steam-powered paddle steamer that currently serves as a museum ship. Built in Britain in 1863, it was originally intended for service on Lake Titicaca in Peru. Due to the logistical challenges of transporting a large vessel to the high-altitude lake, Yavari was shipped in pieces and reassembled on site. It played a significant role in the naval history of Peru, participating in various naval expeditions and transporting troops and supplies. For many years, it was the only steamboat on Lake Titicaca, making it a vital link for transportation and communication in the region.
