Yandabo
Yandabo is a village located in the Mandalay Region of Myanmar, situated on the western bank of the Irrawaddy River. It is historically significant as the site where the Treaty of Yandabo was signed on February 24, 1826. This treaty marked the end of the First Anglo-Burmese War between the British East India Company and the Konbaung Dynasty of Burma. The treaty resulted in a significant territorial loss for Burma and imposed heavy reparations on the kingdom.
