Xuthei

Xuthei is a fictional city-state and cultural center located in the southern region of the imagined continent of Yara. It sits on a crescent bay along the Xuth River delta and has long served as a maritime and mercantile hub. today, Xuthei functions as the political and economic heart of the Xuthian League.

Geography and population demographics consist of a coastline lined with quays and warehouses, a hills to the north, and fertile marshlands to the south. The city proper covers a compact urban core with outlying residential districts. The population is primarily Xuthi, with minority communities representing a range of languages and traditions. The primary language is Xuthi, with smaller dialects and some usage of regional lingua francas in trade.

History traces Xuthei to the early medieval period, when it emerged as a trading port linked to inland markets and international routes. Fortifications were expanded in the 12th century, and the city later developed into a republic within the Xuthian Confederation. The modern era brought industrial growth and urban reforms during the 19th and early 20th centuries, followed by integration into wider regional institutions.

Government operates as a constitutional republic with a Councila and a General Assembly, overseeing municipal and regional affairs. The magistracy is selected from among elected representatives.
