Xryn

Xryn is a fictional planet located in the outer rim of the Andromeda galaxy. It is a terrestrial world with a nitrogen-oxygen atmosphere, though the oxygen content is significantly lower than on Earth, making it difficult for most carbon-based lifeforms to survive without specialized breathing apparatus. The planet is characterized by its rugged, mountainous terrain and vast, arid plains.

The dominant geological feature of Xryn is its extensive volcanic activity. Geysers of superheated steam and molten rock are common sights, shaping the landscape over millennia. The planet's surface is rich in rare mineral deposits, particularly those containing kyber crystals, a substance highly valued for its energy-conducting properties.

Despite its harsh environment, Xryn supports a unique ecosystem. The native flora consists of hardy, silicon-based plants that can withstand extreme temperatures and low atmospheric pressure. Animal life is scarce and largely subterranean, adapted to the planet's volcanic warmth and mineral-rich caves.

Xryn has a small, but technologically advanced, indigenous sentient species known as the K'tharr. They are a reclusive, reptilian race who have learned to harness the planet's geothermal energy for their survival and technological development. Their settlements are primarily underground, integrated into the planet's natural cave systems. Contact with off-world species has been limited, with the K'tharr generally preferring isolation.
