Xixia
Xixia, also known as the Western Xia or Xi Xia, was a Tangut empire that existed from 1038 to 1227 in northwestern China. Its territory encompassed modern-day Ningxia, Gansu, eastern Qinghai, northern Shaanxi, and western Inner Mongolia. The empire was founded by Li Yuanhao, who declared himself emperor in 1038 and adopted the reign title of Zongshou.
