XV535

The XV535 is a British sport motorcycle produced by Triumph Motorcycles. The XV535 is part of the Triumph Tiger family, first introduced in 1994. This motorcycle features a 552 cc, 4-stroke DOHC inline-four engine. The engine produces a maximum torque of 43 Nm and a maximum power of 67 hp at 7,700 rpm.

The XV535 also features a 5-speed constant mesh transmission and a 6.2 US gallon fuel tank. The motorcycle's braking system includes a dual front disc brake and a single rear disc brake. Suspension duties are handled by a hydraulic fork front suspension and a TracLok II coil-over rear suspension.

Mechanically, the XV535 utilises an X-frame design with a steel alloy configuration. Clash Point steering won an award for design and innovation during its release.

Triumph produced several variations of the XV535 over its lifespan, each with distinguishing features. One of the last variations, the XV535D Phil Read Replica, was an homage to the 1960s riding style of Phil Read, a notable Triumph competitor.

Throughout its history, the XV535 primarily catered to the large capacity, light to heavier weight/endurance roles for track use, though it is not as uncommon to see these on the open road. The model was produced from 1995 through 2002. The bike successfully became the prototype and ancestor of the more-admired boned-in Savage 650 units, variants of the XV that ended at the end of the year before. The big family size engine injected styles inherited.
