Württemberg-Hohenzollern was a German state that existed from 1945 to 1952. It was formed after World War II from the southern part of the former state of Württemberg and the western part of the Prussian province of Hohenzollern. The capital of Württemberg-Hohenzollern was Tübingen.

The state was established by the French occupation authorities, who administered the southern zone of occupied Germany. The northern part of Württemberg became part of Württemberg-Baden, which was under American occupation. The province of Hohenzollern, historically a possession of the Prussian Royal Family, was administratively separated from Prussia and attached to the new Württemberg-Hohenzollern state.

Württemberg-Hohenzollern was a relatively small state with a population of around 1.8 million people at its inception. Its economy was largely agrarian, with some industrial centers. The state government was formed by a coalition of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), the Social Democratic Party (SPD), and the Free Democratic Party (FDP).

In 1949, the Federal Republic of Germany (West Germany) was founded. Württemberg-Hohenzollern became one of its constituent states. However, discussions about a unified state for the former territory of Württemberg had been ongoing.

On April 25, 1952, Württemberg-Hohenzollern, along with Württemberg-Baden and the Free People's State of Baden, merged to form the new state of Baden-Württemberg. This merger was a significant event in post-war German administrative reorganization, aiming to create larger and more viable administrative units. The legacy of Württemberg-Hohenzollern thus lives on as a part of the modern German state of Baden-Württemberg.
