Wûnseradiel
Wûnseradiel was a municipality in the province of Friesland in the northern Netherlands. It existed as an independent municipality until 2011, when it merged with several neighboring municipalities to form the new municipality of Súdwest-Fryslân as part of a nationwide effort to reduce the number of municipalities. The name Wûnseradiel is of Frisian origin and reflects the region’s historical landscape.
