Woyzecks
Woyzecks is a German-language opera in three acts by the German composer and librettist Alban Berg. It premiered at the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz in Munich on June 13, 1925. The opera is based on the 1737 play "Woyzeck" by Georg Büchner, which in turn is based on the life of Johann Georg Woyzeck, a real-life soldier who was executed for murder in 1730. The opera is notable for its use of twelve-tone technique, which was a significant development in the history of music.
