Wickenburg
Wickenburg is a town located in Maricopa County, Arizona, United States. It is situated in the high Sonoran Desert, approximately 60 miles northwest of Phoenix. The town was founded in 1863 by Henry Wickenburg, a German immigrant and prospector. Wickenburg originally gained prominence as a mining town, with gold and silver being the primary resources extracted from the surrounding mountains.
