WestonsuperMare

Weston-super-Mare is a seaside town in Somerset, England, on the Bristol Channel coast. It lies within the unitary authority of North Somerset, about 18 miles (29 km) southwest of Bristol. The name combines the Old English for a western farm or settlement with the 19th-century addition "super-Mare," meaning "over the sea," used to distinguish it from other Westons.

Historically a fishing and farming village, Weston developed rapidly in the 19th century as a seaside resort

The seafront remains a defining feature, with a broad sandy beach and a level promenade. Notable landmarks

Tourism continues to be a major part of the local economy, supported by retail and service sectors.
