Warpilers

Warpilers are a hypothetical propulsion system for faster-than-light travel, often discussed in science fiction contexts. The core concept involves manipulating spacetime itself to create a "warp bubble" around a spacecraft. This bubble would not propel the ship through space in the traditional sense but rather contract spacetime in front of the vessel and expand it behind, effectively moving the bubble and the ship within it. The ship itself would remain stationary relative to its local spacetime bubble, thereby avoiding the relativistic issues of massive acceleration and time dilation that would occur if a ship were to travel at near-light speeds through normal space.
