WandaVision

WandaVision is a 2021 American limited television series produced by Marvel Studios for Disney+. Set within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it is part of Phase Four and follows the relationship of Wanda Maximoff (Scarlet Witch) and Vision. The series was created by Jac Schaeffer and directed by Matt Shakman, with Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany starring and a supporting cast that includes Kathryn Hahn, Teyonah Parris, and Kat Dennings.

The story unfolds in a suburban town called Westview, New Jersey, presented as a series of decade-spanning sitcoms. Wanda creates the illusion to cope with Vision’s death, while S.W.O.R.D. investigates a mysterious disturbance around the town. As the mystery deepens, Wanda confronts Agatha Harkness, who seeks to uncover the truth behind Wanda’s powers. The supporting characters in Westview gradually regain their autonomy, and Monica Rambeau is introduced into the wider MCU.

A notable moment is the appearance of Evan Peters as Pietro, which proved to be a twist. The series also expands MCU lore around magic and the nature of consciousness, setting up storylines that continue in future films and series.
