Wallisian

Wallisian refers to things related to Wallis Island, one of the main islands of Wallis and Futuna, a French overseas collectivity in the South Pacific. The term also denotes the language spoken on Wallis Island.

The Wallisian language, also called East Uvean, is a Polynesian language spoken by most residents of Wallis Island and by Wallisian-speaking communities in the diaspora. It is closely related to Futunan, the language of nearby Futuna Island. Wallisian uses a Latin-based writing system and has its own oral and literary traditions that accompany daily life.
