Vízpótló

Vízpótló is a Hungarian term that translates to "water replenisher" or "water replenishing" in English. It refers to a device or system designed to automatically add water to a container or system when the water level drops below a certain point. These devices are commonly found in various applications to maintain a consistent water supply and prevent equipment damage or malfunction due to lack of water.

One of the most frequent uses of vízpótló systems is in aquariums. In this context, an aquarium vízpótló will detect when the water level has decreased due to evaporation and will then automatically dispense fresh water from a reservoir to maintain the optimal water level for the fish and aquatic plants. This is crucial for stable water parameters like salinity, temperature, and dissolved oxygen.

Another common application is in animal husbandry, particularly for livestock or pets. Water bowls or troughs equipped with vízpótló mechanisms ensure that animals always have access to fresh water. As animals drink, the water level in the receptacle decreases, and the vízpótló system replenishes it, preventing dehydration and ensuring the animals' well-being.

Vízpótló systems can also be integrated into industrial processes or household appliances. For instance, they might be used in humidifiers to automatically add water to the reservoir, in steam generators, or in cooling systems where water loss through evaporation needs to be compensated.
