Védrétegét (English: The Thread of Fate) is a Hungarian short film directed by László Kiss that premiered in 2015. The 26‑minute feature blends documentary and dramatized storytelling to examine the tradition of textile weaving in rural Hungary and its metaphoric connection to human destiny. The film is presented in Hungarian with English subtitles and was produced by Budapest Film Studios in collaboration with the Hungarian National Film Fund.
