Válfaját

Válfaját is a term used in linguistics, particularly in the study of historical language development. It refers to a linguistic variant that has diverged from a common ancestor language, leading to the formation of a new language or dialect. This process is often driven by geographical separation, social stratification, or contact with other languages. Over time, these variations accumulate, making the descendant languages or dialects mutually unintelligible with their parent language or with each other.
