Vuoksa
Vuoksa, in Finnish Vuoksi and in Russian Vuoks, is a transboundary river in eastern Finland and northwestern Russia. It serves as the main outflow of Lake Saimaa, Finland’s largest lake, and drains into Lake Ladoga. The river’s course runs generally southeast from Saimaa, passing the Imatra region where the Imatrankoski rapid is a historic landmark, and then crosses the Finland–Russia border before entering Ladoga.
