Volkskultur
Volkskultur, literally meaning "folk culture," is a term used in German-speaking contexts to denote the cultural expressions, practices, and artifacts associated with a large part of the population and rooted in traditional life. It encompasses music, dance, clothing, crafts, rituals, festivals, oral literature, and everyday social customs; while closely linked to particular regions, it also reflects shared national or ethnic identities.
