Voandrs

Voandrs are a type of edible legume, scientifically known as Vigna subterranea. They are native to Africa and are cultivated in various parts of the continent, as well as in some tropical regions of Asia and the Americas. Voandrs are also commonly referred to as bambara groundnuts, jugo beans, or earth peas.

The plant is a low-growing annual that produces edible seeds enclosed in a pod. These pods develop underground, similar to peanuts, hence the common name "groundnut." The seeds themselves are typically round or oval and can vary in color from creamy white to brown and black.

Voandrs are a valuable food source, particularly in regions where other crops may struggle to grow.
