Vingumürgistus
Vingumürgistus, also known as carbon monoxide poisoning, is a potentially life-threatening condition caused by breathing in too much carbon monoxide gas. Carbon monoxide (CO) is a colorless, odorless, and tasteless gas that is produced by the incomplete combustion of carbon-containing materials. Common sources include faulty furnaces, car exhaust, gas stoves, and fires.
When inhaled, carbon monoxide binds to hemoglobin in red blood cells much more readily than oxygen does.
Mild symptoms may include headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, and fatigue. As exposure increases, more severe symptoms
Diagnosis is typically made based on the patient's symptoms and a history of potential exposure. Blood tests
