Villagization
Villagization is the policy or process of reorganizing dispersed rural populations into centralized, planned settlements or villages, typically with the aim of facilitating state-directed development, service delivery, or social control. It can be voluntary or coercive, and it is often framed as a means to promote agricultural intensification, education, health care, and infrastructure.
