Vietri

Vietri sul Mare, commonly called Vietri, is a comune in the province of Salerno, Campania, southern Italy. It lies on the eastern side of the Amalfi Coast, along the Tyrrhenian Sea, about 15 km southeast of Salerno. The town is known for its historic association with ceramic production.

The ceramics tradition in Vietri dates to the 15th–16th centuries, flourishing as local artisans developed tin-glazed maiolica wares that spread across Campania and beyond.
