Vibrokompaktierers

Vibrokompaktierers, also known as vibratory compactors or soil compactors, are specialized pieces of heavy equipment used in construction and civil engineering projects. Their primary function is to increase the density of soil, gravel, or asphalt through the application of vibration and static weight. This process, known as compaction, is crucial for creating stable foundations, roads, and other structures by reducing air voids within the material.

These machines typically consist of a heavy steel drum or wheel that rotates. As the drum rotates, it emits vibrations. This vibration liquefies the granular material momentarily, allowing the weight of the machine to press the particles closer together. The frequency and amplitude of the vibrations can often be adjusted to suit different types of materials and desired compaction levels.

Vibrokompaktierers come in various forms, including single and double drum rollers, sheepsfoot rollers (which use padded drums for cohesive soils), and pneumatic tire rollers (which use rubber tires). Walk-behind models are used for smaller areas or more confined spaces, while larger, ride-on machines are employed for extensive tasks like highway construction and large-scale earthmoving.
