Vformede

Vformede is a coastal city and regional capital in the Lyrian Province on the continent of Aridon. It lies along the Maris Bay at the mouth of the Vandra River, providing a natural harbor that has shaped its history and economy. The name appears in medieval charters and is believed to derive from a local term for "water's edge," though the exact origin is uncertain.

Historically, Vformede began as a fishing village in the 12th century and grew as a trading hub in the Renaissance. It gained city status in the 17th century and served as the administrative center of Lyrian Province after the provincial reorganizations of the 19th century. The 20th century brought railroad and port infrastructure improvements, expanding industrial activity while preserving much of the old town center.
