This parenchyma is composed of nephrons, which are responsible for filtering waste products from the blood and producing urine. Diseases affecting this vital component can lead to impaired kidney function.

Causes of veseparenkymabetegségre are diverse and can include infections, such as pyelonephritis, which is an infection of the kidney. Autoimmune conditions, like lupus nephritis or IgA nephropathy, where the body's immune system mistakenly attacks kidney tissues, also fall under this umbrella.
