Verstärkersicherung
Verstärkersicherung, German for amplifier fuse, refers to a protective device integrated into audio amplifiers and other electronic amplification equipment. Its primary function is to safeguard the amplifier and connected components from damage caused by electrical faults or overloads. When excessive current flows through the amplifier, exceeding its safe operating limits, the Verstärkersicherung will intentionally blow or break the circuit, thereby interrupting the power supply. This prevents potentially catastrophic damage to internal components like transistors, capacitors, or transformers.
These fuses are typically small, cylindrical components with a metal wire or filament inside that melts when
