Verkalýðsfélag

Verkalýðsfélag is the Icelandic term for a labor union or trade union. These organizations play a significant role in Icelandic society by representing the interests of workers in various sectors. Their primary functions include collective bargaining with employers on behalf of their members, negotiating wages, working hours, and other conditions of employment. Verkalýðsfélag also provide support and legal assistance to members facing workplace disputes or grievances.
