Verilla is a fictional coastal city-state in the world of Aethera. It sits at the head of Verin Bay, commanding a natural harbor that has supported maritime trade since antiquity. The city is noted for its white limestone architecture and blue ceramic tiles along the waterfront.

The name Verilla is believed to derive from the Verill language, meaning “bright harbor.” The settlement dates to the 9th century, founded by Verarri merchants who formed a compact republican government around the harbor.
