Verderio

Verderio is a municipality in the province of Lecco, in the Lombardy region of Italy. It is located in the Brianza area, a region historically known for its entrepreneurial spirit and skilled craftsmanship. The municipality was formed in 2014 through the merger of the former municipalities of Verderio Inferiore and Verderio Superiore. This unification aimed to streamline administrative services and foster greater regional development.

The area's history dates back to at least medieval times, with evidence of settlements and agricultural activity. The two former villages, Verderio Inferiore and Verderio Superiore, maintained distinct identities for centuries, often centered around local churches and agricultural land.
