Vektorisuus refers to the study and application of vectors, which are mathematical objects possessing both magnitude and direction. In physics, vectors are fundamental for representing quantities like velocity, force, and displacement. For instance, a car's velocity is described not only by its speed (magnitude) but also by the direction it is traveling. Forces are also vector quantities, as a push or pull has both an intensity and a direction.

Mathematically, vectors can be represented in various ways, such as arrows in a coordinate system or as components along different axes. Operations like vector addition and subtraction are defined to combine or differentiate vector quantities. For example, adding two force vectors results in a single net force that produces the same overall effect.
