Vektorgrafikák

Vektorgrafikák, sometimes referred to as vector graphics, are a type of digital image composed of mathematical equations that describe points, lines, and curves. Unlike raster graphics, which are made up of a grid of pixels, vector graphics can be scaled infinitely without losing quality. This makes them ideal for logos, illustrations, and any design that needs to be resized for different applications.

The fundamental building blocks of vector graphics are paths, which are defined by anchor points and the lines or curves connecting them. These paths can be filled with colors, gradients, or patterns, and strokes can be applied to their outlines. Common file formats for vector graphics include SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics), AI (Adobe Illustrator), and EPS (Encapsulated PostScript).

Software used for creating and editing vector graphics, such as Adobe Illustrator, Inkscape, and CorelDRAW, allow designers to manipulate these mathematical descriptions with precision. Changes to size, color, or shape are easily made by adjusting the underlying equations. This scalability and editability are key advantages of vector graphics over raster images, which can become pixelated when enlarged.
