Vazov
Ivan Vazov (1850–1921) was a prominent Bulgarian writer and playwright, widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in Bulgarian literature. Born on July 9, 1850, in Sopot, a village near Sofia, Vazov grew up in a family with a strong literary tradition. His father, a teacher and writer, encouraged his intellectual development, and Vazov later studied law at the University of Geneva in Switzerland before turning to literature.
