Vascularisierte refers to a tissue or organ that has been supplied with blood vessels. This blood supply is crucial for delivering oxygen and nutrients to the cells and removing waste products. Without adequate vascularization, tissues cannot survive.

In the context of medicine and surgery, vascularized tissues are often transplanted or grafted. This is because a vascularized graft is more likely to survive and integrate with the recipient's body compared to an avascular graft. For example, in reconstructive surgery, a vascularized flap of tissue, which includes its own blood supply, can be transferred from one part of the body to another to repair defects. This allows for better healing and a more robust outcome.

The process of vascularization is also important in the development of tissues and organs. During embryonic development, blood vessels grow into and supply newly forming structures. In adults, vascularization can be stimulated or inhibited depending on physiological needs, such as in wound healing or the growth of tumors. Understanding vascularization is therefore fundamental to many biological and medical fields.
