Vannetais

Vannetais is a term used in Brittany to refer to two related, but distinct, things: the Pays Vannetais, a historic cultural region centered on the port town of Vannes in the Morbihan department, and the Vannetais dialect of the Breton language, known in Breton as Gwenedeg, spoken in and around that area. The name derives from Vannes, the region’s traditional urban center and capital.
