Valvussüsteeme

Valvussüsteeme, often translated as valve systems, refers to a collection of mechanical components designed to control the flow of fluids, such as liquids or gases, within a piping network. These systems are fundamental to a vast array of industrial, commercial, and domestic applications. The primary function of a valvussüsteem is to regulate, direct, stop, or start the passage of a fluid.

The core component of any valvussüsteem is the valve itself. Valves come in many forms, each suited for specific purposes. Common types include ball valves, gate valves, globe valves, butterfly valves, and check valves. The selection of a particular valve type depends on factors such as the fluid being handled, the required pressure and temperature ratings, the desired level of control (e.g., on/off or throttling), and the operational environment.

Actuators can be powered by electricity, hydraulics, or pneumatics. The system may also include piping, fittings, sensors for monitoring flow and pressure, and control mechanisms like programmable logic controllers (PLCs) or distributed control systems (DCS) for automated operation.
