Valutapárról

Valutapárról is a Hungarian term referring to a currency pair. In foreign exchange markets, a currency pair expresses the relative value of two currencies. It indicates how much of the second currency is needed to purchase one unit of the first currency. The first currency listed in a pair is known as the base currency, and the second is the quote currency or counter currency.

For example, EUR/USD is a currency pair. Here, the euro (EUR) is the base currency, and the US dollar (USD) is the quote currency. If the exchange rate is 1.10, it means one euro can be exchanged for 1.10 US dollars. The value of the currency pair fluctuates constantly based on various economic, political, and market factors.

The most commonly traded currency pairs are known as major pairs, which typically involve the US dollar and other major global currencies like the euro, Japanese yen, British pound, Swiss franc, Canadian dollar, and Australian dollar. Minor pairs involve currencies that do not include the US dollar but are still widely traded. Exotic pairs involve one major currency and a currency from an emerging market economy.
