Valmistuslämpötila, often translated as manufacturing temperature or processing temperature, refers to the specific temperature at which a material is heated, cooled, or held during a manufacturing process. This temperature is a critical parameter that significantly influences the material's properties, the efficiency of the manufacturing process, and the quality of the final product. Different materials and manufacturing techniques require distinct temperature ranges to achieve desired outcomes.

For metals, controlled heating and cooling cycles are essential for processes like heat treatment (annealing, quenching, tempering) and forging. The correct temperature ensures proper phase transformations within the metal, leading to desired hardness, strength, and ductility. In plastics manufacturing, such as injection molding or extrusion, the melt temperature must be precisely controlled to allow the material to flow and fill molds effectively without degrading.
