Valmistaut
Valmistaut is a term that appears in some linguistic discussions about Finnish, but it is not widely recognized as an independent word in standard Finnish. In normal usage, the acts of getting ready or preparing are expressed with the noun valmistautuminen (the act of preparation) or the noun valmistelu (preparation/arrangements), and with the verb valmistautua (to prepare oneself). The form "valmistaut" is not listed as a standalone lexical entry in major dictionaries and is generally not used in everyday speech.
Linguistic notes: When it is seen, it is usually a stem within other forms of the verb
Usage: In contemporary Finnish, speakers would normally avoid the bare form "valmistaut" and instead use "valmistautua,"
