Valenmoor is a town and regional seat in the fictional nation of Ardenvale, located in the Vale of Mirth along the Silverfork River. The surrounding landscape comprises moorlands, woodlands, and low hills, with a temperate maritime climate that brings regular rain and moderate temperatures.

Valenmoor originated as a medieval crossing town, growing around a riverside market and a wooden bridge. It received municipal rights in the 14th century and gradually developed a diversified economy. Today the town is governed by a nine-member town council, with a mayor and a deputy mayor, and it is part of the Northshire District for regional representation.

The economy combines agriculture, small-scale manufacturing, and services. Sheep farming and barley production remain common in the surrounding countryside, while the town provides timber products, artisan crafts, and hospitality services for visitors to local moorland trails and historic sites. Tourism is supported by preserved architecture, the stone Silverbridge Bridge, and the 12th-century Valen Gate.
