Valdinievole
Valdinievole, or Val di Nievole, is a geographical and historical region in central Tuscany, centered on the Nievole river valley. It lies between the Apennine foothills and the western hills near Lucca, and falls mainly within the province of Pistoia. The valley runs roughly from Montecatini Terme in the north to Pescia in the south and includes several municipalities such as Montecatini Terme, Monsummano Terme, Buggiano, Larciano, Marliana, Pieve a Nievole, and Collodi (a frazione of Pescia). Its landscape combines spa towns, medieval villages, and agricultural hills.
