Collodi

Collodi is a small hillside village and a frazione of the comune of Pescia in the province of Pistoia, Tuscany, central Italy. It lies to the northwest of Pescia and is set in a rural landscape that includes the Pescia valley and surrounding hills. The name Collodi is connected with the Italian author Carlo Lorenzini, who adopted the pen name Carlo Collodi after the village; he is best known for writing The Adventures of Pinocchio, which became one of the most famous works of children’s literature in Italian and world culture. The serialized tale was published in 1881–1883 in a children’s periodical before being released as a book.

Collodi’s modern prominence centers on its attractions linked to Pinocchio. The Parco di Pinocchio (Pinocchio Park)
