Vadakkumnathan

Vadakkumnathan, also known as Thekkinkadu Maidan, is a historically significant and visually striking temple complex located in the heart of Thrissur, Kerala, India. It is widely considered to be the oldest and largest temple in Kerala. The primary deity enshrined is Lord Shiva, in his form as Vadakkumnathan, meaning "Lord of the North." The sanctum sanctorum is believed to be one of the oldest Shiva shrines in the region.
