VCEOs, or Virtual Chief Executive Officers, are senior executives who provide executive leadership on a virtual or fractional basis. They are engaged by companies to supply strategic direction and governance without the cost and commitment of a full-time CEO. VCEOs can be independent consultants, part of specialized firms, or senior executives contracted for a defined period or number of hours.
