Vízilabdában

Vízilabdában is the Hungarian word for water polo. Water polo is a team water sport developed in the late 19th century in England. It is played by two teams of seven players each, with six field players and one goalkeeper. The objective of the game is to score by throwing the ball into the opposing goal. The sport is physically demanding, requiring swimming skills, strength, and endurance.

The game is played in a pool, typically 30 meters by 20 meters for men and 25 meters by 17 meters for women. A game consists of four quarters, usually eight minutes of playing time each. Players can move the ball by swimming with it, passing it to teammates, or shooting it. Tackling and blocking are allowed, but certain fouls can result in penalties.

Water polo originated from a game called "water rugby" and was first played with a football. The modern game evolved with specific rules and equipment. It is an Olympic sport, first introduced for men at the 1900 Paris Games and for women at the 2000 Sydney Games. Hungary has a particularly strong tradition in men's water polo, having won numerous Olympic and World Championship titles. The sport is played globally, with popular leagues and competitions in Europe, North America, and Australia.
