Vääntömomenttialue refers to the range of rotational force, or torque, that an engine or motor can produce. It is typically measured in Newton-meters (Nm) or pound-feet (lb-ft). The torque curve of an engine illustrates how torque varies with engine speed (RPM). A wide torque range indicates that the engine can deliver strong pulling power across a broad spectrum of operating speeds, making it more versatile and responsive.

Understanding the torque range is crucial for various applications. For vehicles, a broad torque range generally translates to better acceleration and the ability to handle heavier loads without requiring constant gear changes.
