Utspridd

Utspridd is a town and municipality in the Nordmark region of the country of Lyria. It lies at the edge of the Kvale highlands along the Lyria River and functions as an administrative and service center for surrounding rural communities. The municipality covers about 12 square kilometers and has a population of around 5,100 residents. The local economy combines services, light manufacturing, and forestry, with timber processing playing a significant role in the area’s employment.

Historically, Utspridd emerged as a medieval market settlement and developed as a rail-connected town after the Nordmark railway line reached it in the late 19th century. This connection spurred growth in trade, crafts, and public services. Today the town hosts a secondary school, a small hospital, a regional museum, and a weekly market. Transportation is anchored by the regional rail line and bus network, with the regional capital’s airport located about an hour away by road.
