Ushakov
Ushakov is a town in the Republic of Dagestan, Russia. It is located on the left bank of the Kura River, approximately 100 kilometers south of the city of Makhachkala, the capital of Dagestan. The town is named after the Russian naval officer Fyodor Ushakov, who was born in the nearby village of Ushakovo.
Ushakov was founded in 1936 as a settlement for the workers of the nearby Ushakovo Oil Field.
