Uroeroticism

Uroeroticism, also known as urophilia or golden shower, is a paraphilia characterized by sexual arousal associated with urine. This arousal can manifest in various ways, including the act of urinating on another person, being urinated upon, or observing urine. It is considered a form of erotic activity and is distinct from non-sexual interests in urine.

The practice can be consensual between partners and is often incorporated into sexual role-playing or fantasy. For some individuals, the visual or tactile sensation of urine, or the psychological aspect of degradation or dominance associated with it, can be a source of sexual pleasure. Urophilia can also be a component of other sexual interests, such as BDSM.

The origins and prevalence of uroeroticism are not extensively studied, as with many paraphilias. It is generally considered a harmless sexual variation when practiced consensually between adults. However, as with any sexual activity, concerns regarding hygiene and the potential for transmission of infections can arise if proper precautions are not taken. The term "uroeroticism" is derived from Greek roots: "ouron" meaning urine and "erōtikos" meaning sexual desire.
